Who deserves to be on the Indian currency?|

Dalits have been betrayed once again by Modi government. We have been demanding for a long time that we want Dr. Ambedkar on Indian currency but once again new currency has been launched without the picture of Dr. Ambedkar on it. Such a shameful. We ask what’s the contribution of Mr. Gandhi in finance or economics that he deserves to be on the Indian currency?

Why being Non-Casteist isn’t just enough!
Casteist = Don’t discriminate Anti-Casteism = Want whole caste system end

I was overwhelmed by the response. 939 people voted with 30% saying they are non-castiest and rest 70% saying they want whole caste system to end. This result can be biased as most of my Twitter followers are from Dalit community so they want whole caste system to end. Maybe, same was represented in the poll results.

Now, the question is is being non-casteist just enough? 30% non-casteist, do they feel comfortable with discrimination happening to others? Following are the usual responses that I hear from most of the upper castes –

I don’t discriminate.

I won’t discriminate.

I never discriminated.

I am not casteist.

I can’t discriminate.

… and the list goes on and on.

Why even after 2000 years this caste based discrimination is there? Maybe because people in power tend to turn blind eye on caste discrimination. Because they are non-casteist (maybe) not anti-casteist.

Even if you are non-casteist, Dalits are still being discriminated, Dalits are still being raped, killed etc. It is not enough that you are non-casteist. You turning blind eye (being non-casteist) to caste discrimination is not going to change anything in society, Dalits will still be killed, discriminated. Most of Indians don’t get angry seeing caste discrimination; it has become a part of people’s lives in India and till we won’t get angry seeing caste discrimination, there won’t be any change in the society. Get angry and fight against caste based discrimination.

If we want any change, we need to stop being non-casteist to anti-casteism.

What you guys think? Let me know in the comments.

[Poll] Do you support Death Penalty?

We all know that poor, Dalits-Bahujans are hanged only. It was even said by Ex. President Abdul Kalam that weaker section of society only get death penalty.

I also had written few years back that Death Penalty: A Free Pass to kill Dalits and Minorities? Keeping all that in mind where Dalit-Bahujans are being killed, do you support death penalty?

[Poll] Do you support government spending 500 crores on promoting Yoga?

After yesterday’s mega event on yoga and wasting public money, resources and time, government has decided to spend more than 500 crore rupees on promoting the yoga. As I wrote already that yoga is nothing RSS agenda to promote hindutav under the name of yoga.

The money that could have been easily spent on improving the health of the public and improving the education, the same money is diverted to promoting hindutav ideology. Moreover, this year, in budget there was cut in the money allocated for Dalits, it is shameful that government doesn’t have money for the development of the Dalits and minority communities but have money to spend on hindutav agendas!

[Tweet “You asked for jobs, he gave you broom. You asked for food, he gave you ?yoga.”]

Lalu Prasad Yadav said is correctly – “Rickshaw-pullers do not need yoga. Labourers, who toil hard through the day do not need it. Farmers who sweat it out the entire day on their farms have no time for yoga. It is not needed by the poor and people of the weaker section who earn their bread through hard work.” (Indian Express)

There is no difference between Romans, who invented pit fights, and Mr. PM, both used every method to keep people’s attention away from real issues and problems.
